The Swedish design duo Front has designed two new veneers for Alpi.

Drapery is a veneer inspired by the classic illusion created by identical squares in a pattern that appear to be moving. The veneer looks like drapery, creating a dynamic depth to the wood surface.

Grid is a veneer based on an ancient pattern that creates the illusion of a grid structure. Four different toned woods are joined together as a block, then thin layers of veneer is planed off to create the veneer. The result catches the light and gives a sense of depth to the flat surface.
